PRICES
Prices vary depending on the length of the party.

We do not have a minimum or maximum amount of children allowed at each party, however we realistically expect a maximum of around 40 children and any more must be discussed via telephone or e-mail prior to booking.
WHAT'S INCLUDED IN THE PARTY PACKAGE?
All our parties will include a minimum of 2 party entertainers, we have a DJ playing the songs and a party leader on the dance floor with the children. At larger parties, we will also have another party helper to support the leader and interact with the children making sure the party runs smoothly for the leader.
We also include all of the following:
DJ set includes all equipment with sound and LED disco lights.
Play equipment for all children
Gifts for everyone - usually medals and glow sticks (when available and age appropriate)
Birthday CD and certificate for birthday child/children
Invitations which can be sent to you on request when making your booking.
WHAT'S NOT INCLUDED?
We do not include a venue, party food or party bags - these will need to be supplied by yourselves.
When booking the hall, we do ask that you allow up to half an hour either side of the party time for us to be able to set up and pack away the equipment.
HOW DO I MAKE A BOOKING?
Have a quick look at our calendar to see if the day/time is still available, we do advise that you book early to avoid disappointment!
However, contact us via e-mail or telephone to check availability, whilst we endevaour to keep the calendar up to date, this does change daily so we may still be able to help.
Once you have contacted us, a booking form will be sent - this must be returned within 10 days to secure your booking along with a 10% non-refundable deposit.
Once your booking form is received back here in the office, we will phone you to confirm receipt and discuss and clarify any details if necessary.
Well done, your booking is complete! Final payment is due on the party day by either cheque or cash made payable to Maraca Jacks.
We will call you approximately 24/48 hours before your party to discuss any further requirements or changes to the party format.
CANCELLATION NOTICE:
If for any reason you have to cancel your party, the deposit is non-refundable but we do not charge a cancellation fee. Please give us as much notice as possible.
PARTY TIPS and HINTS
LOCATION
When choosing a location, think about access to the hall, whether there is a separate kitchen to prepare food or even a separate area to lay out the food for the children. The hall will need to be big enough for both children, their parents, tables for the food etc. Scout Huts, church halls, community centres and even leisure centres are great venues.
We can come to your home but we will need to discuss the size of the area that you wish to hold the party in as most furniture will either need to be removed or safely stored at one end of the room. We are also happy to use your garden if this is what you would like but you must have an alternative plan in case of bad weather, we will not be able to run the electrical equipment across wet or damp grass.
FOOD
Keep the food simple. You really don't have to spend a fortune on the food and normally lots goes to waste as many people buy too much. A few light finger foods is plenty, making up an individual plate or a box before hand for each child is also a good way of working out portion size.
Have plenty of drink to hand though as the children will need lots throughout the party.
TABLES & CHAIRS
We recommend that a few chairs are placed around the room allowing parents to stay if they wish to help settle in their child, tables will need to be placed ready for the food at the opposite end of the disco giving us plenty of room to dance. Parents don't have to stay, if you are leaving your child un-accompanied, please make sure they are comfortable to be left on their own making sure that you leave a contact telephone number with the party organiser i.e. the parents of the birthday child.
PARTY BAGS!
Most party bags fill parents with dread as they feel they have to buy lots to send home happy children. This is not the case, we provide a small gift to each child and we recommend you do too! Some parents have provided a luck dip 'boy's and 'girls' style with foam swords for boys and magic wands for girls, or a generic lucky dip could be a simple bubble wand.
What about making some cupcakes and wrapping them in sellophane and attaching a 'thank you' note from the birthday child? - Any gift is appreciated and they really don't have to cost a lot.
